THE MET
Welcome.
welcome to metropolitan square
Flexibility. Efficiency. Quality.Metropolitan Square projects contemporary elegance in harmony with the traditional architecture of St. Louis. It is rich in contrasting texture, shape and color. A total of eight different granites and marbles were used in the finish. Three granites in polished, flamed, honed and sand-blasted finishes accentuate the exterior of the tower. The Met's seven story base is accented with Baltic Brown granite against reflective glass. The tower was built with golden granite and bronze glass. A dramatic roof profile silhouettes the sky with a series of pinnacles, completing a structure of unmatched opulence and presence.

Metropolitan Square's 50-foot high lobby receives tenants and guests in grand elegance. The building's four-story Pilkington Glass front draws one into a great marble and granite hall surrounded on three sides by original, commissioned art. Seven different imported stone finishes in the 35,000 square foot lobby carry through the architectural grandeur of the building's exterior. The lobby's retail area is patterned after London's Burlington Arcade. With its 22,000 square feet shops, services and restaurants, the Grand Lobby is the center of urban activity in downtown St. Louis.
